Today, the overall market is still relatively weak, with choppy sideways movement. BTC and ETH are both in a “sideways repair after a drop,” and it’s clear that funds are waiting for U.S. inflation data and the direction of the Federal Reserve, so market sentiment remains cautious. With hot CPI and PPI data, the market has started to worry that interest rates may stay high for longer, so short-term funds don’t really dare to chase prices upward.
For BTC, the key focus right now is support at 78,500–79,000.
On the 15-minute timeframe, there are signs that selling pressure may be easing; MACD has begun contracting, and KDJ has turned, but volume is still not enough. So at this moment, it looks more like a “weak rebound” rather than a reversal.
In terms of strategy:
* If BTC can get back above 80,000, you can try a small-position long, aiming for 80,800–81,500
* If it fails to break 80,000 and once again drops on increased volume below 78,500, it may easily keep probing the lows around 77,500
* The biggest taboo now is chasing after a surge—since the market hasn’t truly turned strong yet
ETH is clearly weaker than BTC today, showing a high-beta selloff with a “downside follow.”
After 2,300 failed to hold, market sentiment has been suppressed; currently around 2,250 has become the key defensive level for the short term.
ETH strategy:
* If the 2,250–2,230 area holds and does not break, you can attempt to buy the dip for short-term longs, targeting a rebound to 2,280–2,310
* If it breaks below 2,230 and volume increases, you may continue to look for support around 2,200 or even lower
* Only if ETH can reclaim above 2,300 will ETH be considered to have truly steadied
The market rhythm right now is very clear:
“Large funds are waiting for macro news, while small funds are trading back and forth within ranges.”
So today is more suitable for:
Buying the dip and selling the high—fast in, fast out. Don’t get carried away and go all-in.
If you chase shorts at this point, you’re likely to get a rebound; if you chase longs, you’re likely to get hit again with a second dump.
