Why can’t many people who understand AI make money now? Because AI is rapidly devaluing “execution ability,” while what is truly becoming scarce is “judgment, attention, and trust.” In the past, being able to write code and build products was itself a barrier. But now, AI lets more and more people quickly produce content and develop products, so the act of “getting it done” is starting to become worthless. What really widens the gap instead comes down to three other things: whether you can judge what’s worth doing, whether you can capture users’ attention, and whether you can build long-term trust. AI can help you improve efficiency, but it can’t make judgments for you, and it can’t replace earning users’ trust. The most valuable ability in the future may not be the one that’s best at using AI, but the one that understands human nature, needs, and distribution.
