On May 13, the U.S. April CPI rose to 3.8% year over year, reaching a nearly three-year high. U.S. stocks closed lower on Tuesday: the Dow edged up 0.1%, the S&P 500 fell 0.16%, and the Nasdaq dropped 0.7%. Chip stocks were hit hard, with Qualcomm down 11%, Micron Technology down 3.5%, and both Intel and SanDisk down more than 6%. Crypto-related stocks broadly declined, with Strategy down 5.88%, Coinbase down 4.14%, and Circle down 6.14%. In the crypto market, Bitcoin briefly broke below $80,000 this morning and is currently at around $80,500; Ethereum is at $2,278. Total market cap stands at $2.766 trillion, down 1.5% over 24 hours. Among altcoins, SAGA is up 84.66%, VIC is up 37.2%, DYM is up 28.9%, and SAHARA is up 18.1%; OSMO is down 25.4%, and GTC is down 23.7%. Spot gold briefly fell 2% and broke below $4,640 per ounce, while both oil prices rose by more than 4%.
