in 1942

a Jewish man named Victor
was separated from his wife
on a train platform in Vienna.
he was sent to Auschwitz.
she was sent to Bergen-Belsen.
they survived.
separately.
neither knowing
if the other was alive.
when the war ended
Victor walked out of the camp
weighing 40 kilograms.
he had one plan.
find her.
he walked to Vienna.
knocked on the door
of their old apartment.
a stranger answered.
Victor left a note
on the door.
three weeks later
his wife knocked
on that same door.
she had walked
from Bergen-Belsen.
she had the same plan.
find him.
they lived together
for 47 more years.
Victor Frankl went on
to write
"Man's Search for Meaning" —
the book that taught
the entire 20th century
that even in the darkest places
life still asks something of you.
he said:
"LOVE is the only way
to grasp another human being
in the innermost core
of his personality."
the LOVErse
didn't need a book
to know this.
but it's glad
someone finally wrote it down. 🌹🌌
what is life
asking of you
right now? 👇
