I recently noticed an interesting observation: While most Wall Street professionals are still focused on traditional markets, a well-known market analyst named Tom Lee has already positioned himself in the cryptocurrency world. His full name is Thomas Jong Lee, and this guy has an impressive track record.

Tom Lee comes from a Korean-American immigrant family in Michigan and studied at the Wharton School. What sets him apart is his data-driven research approach – people call him the 'Wall Street genius.' In the 90s, he worked at major investment banks, later became Chief Equity Strategist at J.P. Morgan, and in 2014, he founded the independent research firm Fundstrat Global Advisors. Since then, he has managed over $1.5 billion.

What really fascinates me: Tom Lee is one of the first major Wall Street strategists to seriously incorporate Bitcoin into a valuation system. In 2017, he published a framework arguing that Bitcoin could partially replace gold. And his forecasts? Impressive. In 2020, he correctly predicted the V-shaped recovery after the pandemic, and in 2023, he forecasted that the S&P 500 would reach the 5200 level in 2024 – which actually happened.

But here’s where it gets really interesting: In 2025, Tom Lee became chairman of the board of BitMine Immersion Technologies and shifted the company's focus from Bitcoin mining to an Ethereum reserve strategy. The goal? Hold 5% of the total Ethereum supply. By August 2025, they already held over 833,000 ETH.

Why is Tom Lee so bullish on Ethereum? There are several reasons that make sense. First: The stablecoin market has exploded. Over $250 billion in volume, and more than half is issued on the Ethereum network. Tom Lee expects this market to grow to 2 to 4 trillion dollars – which would massively boost network usage.

Second: He sees Ethereum as a bridge between the traditional financial world and the crypto world. Smart contracts enable the tokenization of financial assets and AI-driven systems. That’s real infrastructure, not just speculation.

And third: Wall Street is now not only buying and selling but also participating through staking in the consensus. That’s a governance entry, not just a simple trade. The 'Ethereum Microstrategy Model' from BitMine increases net value per share through new emissions and staking yields.

Honestly, if someone like Tom Lee, with this track record, is so optimistic about Ethereum over the next 10-15 years, you shouldn’t just ignore it. The numbers speak for themselves.
