Meme Stock King Roaring Kitty X account appears to have been hacked, with RKC market cap reaching $12 million and then dropping to $1.8 million
ME News Report, May 12 (UTC+8), the official X account of “retail investors vs Wall Street” star and Meme stock king Roaring Kitty of GameStop was suspected to have been hacked early this morning, and a contract address for Meme coin Red Kitten Crew (RKC) was posted, causing the token’s market cap to briefly reach $12 million before dropping to $1.8 million.
Subsequently, Roaring Kitty is suspected to have regained control of the account and deleted the tweet containing the contract address.
Roaring Kitty himself has not issued a statement, and the community generally believes that the posting of the Meme coin contract address was due to the account being hacked for a short period.
