ME News, April 16 (UTC+8): The United States’ top derivatives regulator is investigating a series of “exceptionally precisely timed” crude oil futures trades that took place just before recent policy adjustments by Trump regarding the Iran war. According to sources familiar with the matter, the investigation has already been launched. The U.S. CFTC is spearheading the probe into crude oil futures contract trades conducted on the CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange platforms. Sources said they requested anonymity because the information is not publicly available. At present, both trading platforms have been asked to submit relevant trading data to the regulators to assist the investigation. (Source: ChainCatcher)
