Morgan Stanley CFO: Tokenization will become the next phase of trillion-dollar wealth management business
ME News Report, April 16 (UTC+8), Morgan Stanley Chief Financial Officer Sharon Yeshaya stated that tokenization and on-chain finance will become key evolutionary directions for its wealth management business. The company is envisioning a “tokenized world,” where, through blockchain infrastructure, client assets and liabilities can circulate efficiently like funds, thereby reshaping asset allocation, lending, and cash management methods. Unlike viewing crypto as an independent business, Morgan Stanley plans to embed on-chain capabilities into its core service system, including investment advisory, financing, and liquidity management, to promote overall financial architecture upgrades. This strategy has been gradually implemented through digital asset pilot programs with ZeroHash and products like Bitcoin ETFs. Although crypto business currently accounts for a small proportion of the overall system, its position in future wealth management systems is rapidly increasing. (Source: ODaily)
