some people apply for jobs with the mindset of “i can do this” but that alone won’t carry you far because the hiring side wants proof as fast as possible


they want to see that you’ve already solved a problem close to the one they’re hiring for
so before you apply, read the job post and pick out the real issue: do they need growth, content, community, sales, ops, better systems?
then show work / portfolio that matches the thing they're trying to fix
don’t just say “i can run social media”; say you grew an account, wrote posts that brought leads, handled replies, built a content plan, and/or helped a brand stay active when things were disorganized
the closer your past work looks to their current problem, the more your chances of getting hired are
