ME News report: On April 10 (UTC+8), multiple current and former employees accused the blockchain gaming company Gunzilla Games on LinkedIn of withholding their salaries for several months. The head of talent acquisition said the company had owed salaries for months, that the CEO ignored employees’ inquiries about salary information, and that there was no clear payment schedule. The chief hard-surface artist said they had not received their salaries for August and September. A senior QA engineer said they had not received salary for five months; during an in-person meeting, the CEO promised to pay salaries and end the employment relationship, but then revoked all access and did not make any payments. A retired senior VFX animator said they had not received any salary since October 2025. The company’s free NFT battle royale game, “Off the Grid,” failed to reach the expected number of players. Due to financial difficulties over the past year, the company has carried out multiple rounds of layoffs. In early 2025, Gunzilla Games acquired Game Informer magazine and its original editorial team for an undisclosed amount. (Source: PANews)
