Ronin will #transition from an independent gaming sidechain to an #Ethereum Layer 2 #network based on the $OP Stack on May 12, ending its operation as a standalone sidechain since 2021. The migration is expected to cause around 10 hours of downtime and will reduce $RON annual inflation from over 20% to below 1%. Ronin was previously hit by a roughly $625 million bridge exploit in 2022, one of the largest cross-chain bridge hacks in #DeFi history. #hack
