Just read that Haru Invest got declared bankrupt by Seoul court last year. This platform was basically promising crazy returns on Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT deposits, then just ghosted in June 2022. Over 16,000 investors got wrecked for around 1.4 trillion won. That's insane.

The operator is still facing fraud charges. Haru Invest was registered in the British Virgin Islands but had actual offices in Korea, so the court had jurisdiction. They're planning the first creditors meeting in February 2025 to liquidate assets and start distributing whatever's left.

This is wild though - how does a platform just vanish with that much money? Makes you think twice about where you're staking your assets. The whole Haru Invest situation is a pretty brutal reminder of why you need to be careful with these platforms.
