ME News message: On April 16 (UTC+8), Cantor Fitzgerald donated $10 million to Fellowship PAC, a political action committee supporting the crypto industry, which is chaired by Jesse Spiro, an executive at Tether US. Fellowship PAC was established in 2025 and has secured more than $100 million in pledged funds, aiming to support candidates pushing for digital-asset-friendly regulation. Previously, the organization had spent more than $1 million on advertising in support across multiple elections. Cantor has a close relationship with Tether—providing custody services for its stablecoin reserves since 2021—and this donation further strengthens their policy-level coordination. Besides Cantor, institutions such as Anchorage Digital also took part in the donation. Industry insiders believe that as regulatory competition intensifies, the crypto industry is continuously increasing its political involvement in Washington to secure a clearer and more actionable regulatory framework.
