A bank employee in Germany accidentally sent €222 MILLION after falling asleep on his keyboard 💀

Back in 2012, a worker at a German bank was processing a small transfer of just €62.40 for a pensioner
Then he fell asleep with his finger resting on the 2 key, the system changed the payment into: €222,222,222.22 at the time that was 300M+
Somehow it got approved internally, a supervisor reviewed the transaction and missed the mistake completely after checking hundreds of documents that day
The bank later caught the error and recovered the money before anything serious happened
But here’s the crazy part, the supervisor got fired for approving it, While the employee who fell asleep kept his job 😭
She later sued the bank for wrongful dismissal and won, the judge ruled that firing her was unfair because she had reviewed over 800 documents that day and made an honest mistake under pressure
The bank had to hire her back and the whole situation was eventually resolved
