just saw that Fluffypony is stepping down as the lead maintainer of Monero. honestly didn't expect this move tbh. the guy's been pretty much the face of the project since the beginning, so this is pretty significant for the privacy coin community.

fluffypony built up Monero's reputation around privacy and decentralization, so curious to see who takes over and if the project's direction stays the same. it's one of those moments where you realize how much depends on individual contributors in crypto projects.

this could shake things up for Monero's development roadmap. wondering if fluffypony's stepping back means he's done with privacy coins entirely or just taking a break from the lead role. either way, it's a big deal when someone like that moves on from their own project.

anyone else following Monero closely? what's your take on this?
