What is Bitcoin? Getting to Know the "Digital Gold"

Bitcoin is the first decentralized digital currency, created in 2009 by a mysterious figure named Satoshi Nakamoto. Unlike Rupiah or Dollar, Bitcoin is not printed by a central bank. It operates on blockchain technology, a digital ledger that records all transactions transparently and securely. Why is it called digital gold? Because its supply is limited, with only 21 million BTC in the world, making it a rare asset resistant to inflation.
