According to an order issued by the U.S. District Court on Friday (9/5), Judge Margaret Garnett amended a notice of freeze order for 30.766 ETH assets held in escrow in Arbitrum DAO since May 1st, allowing these assets to be transferred to Aave's digital wallet. The amendment explicitly states that any initiator or voter for the transaction will be protected from violating the freeze order. Arbitrum representatives voted on Thursday to approve the release, with 182.2 million ARB tokens supporting the proposal and approximately 91% of voting rights in favor. However, the funds remain subject to the freeze order notice as soon as they are transferred to Aave; if the court rules in favor of creditors with related North Korean terrorism judgments in the ongoing lawsuit, Aave may be compelled to return the ETH.
