In the Blue Area, the federal capital's commercial center, the Federal Board of Revenue has conducted a major operation and allegedly sealed the city's well-known bakery. This action is said to be part of a nationwide crackdown against tax law violations and unrecorded transactions.

According to reports, FBR officials inspected the bakery's outlet where unverified receipts and flaws in the digital invoicing system were found. The primary goal of this raid is to ensure financial transparency in the food and beverage sector and to strengthen the digital system to prevent tax evasion.
This recent crackdown in major commercial centers of Islamabad has sparked a new debate among business circles and citizens. This move indicates that the government is accelerating regulatory measures to bring the retail sector into the tax net in order to improve the economic system.
