#Web3SecurityGuide 🔐 #Web3SecurityGuide — PROTECT YOUR DIGITAL ASSETS IN THE DECENTRALIZED ERA
Web3 has unlocked a new financial world — decentralized, borderless, and permissionless. But with freedom comes responsibility. Unlike traditional banking, there is no “forgot password” button in Web3. One mistake can cost everything.
Here’s a practical security guide to keep your crypto and NFTs safe
1. Secure Your Seed Phrase (MOST IMPORTANT)
Your seed phrase = your master key.
Never store it online (no Google Drive, no screenshots)
Write it on paper or metal backup
Keep it in multiple secure physical locations
Never share it with anyone — not even “support”
If someone gets your seed phrase, they own your wallet.
2. Use Hardware Wallets for Big Funds
Ht wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet) are convenient but risky.
Use hardware wallets like Ledger / Trezor
Keep trading funds in hot wallet only
Store long-term assets in cold storage
3. Beware of Phishing Attacks
Most losses happen from fake links.
Always double-check URLs
Never click random “airdrop” links
Bookmark official sites
Avoid Discord/Telegram scam bots
If it sounds too good to be true — it is.
4. Separate Wallets Strategy
Don’t keep everything in one wallet:
Wallet 1: Trading
Wallet 2: DeFi / DApps
Wallet 3: Storage (cold wallet)
This limits damage if one wallet is compromised.
5. Smart Contract Approvals = Silent Risk
Every “Approve” can give access to your funds.
Regularly revoke approvals
Use trusted platforms only
Avoid unknown dApps
