i shipped a product once.

spent 6 months building it in silence.
told myself community could wait, the product had to be perfect first.
launch day came.
crickets.
not because the product was bad.
because no one was waiting for it.
no one had watched it get built.
no one felt like it was theirs.
the hard truth is, building without community isn't being serious.
it's being scared.
scared of feedback. scared of being wrong in public. scared that if people watch you build, they'll see you don't have it all figured out.
but the builders who actually make it?
they let people in before it's ready.
they share the mess.
and by the time they ship, there's already a room full of people who want them to win.
if you're serious about your product, act like it.
build the room first.
