ME News message, May 10 (UTC+8): Iran’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Khalil Sherherami, emphasized that if the countries that have carried out illegal aggression against Iran return to rational, logical approaches in their policies and actions, an agreement may be possible. Sherherami said in an interview with Armenian television on Saturday that the clear aggression by the US and the Israeli regimes against Iran makes it evident that Iran cannot be forced to surrender or to accept either side’s extreme demands through military means, pressure, or threats. He said that Iran is willing to reach an agreement through negotiations, but this requires explicit assurances that the US will adopt rational, logical approaches to ensure that no further military aggression is launched against Iran. He also emphasized that Iran opposes any selective interpretation of international law and will never allow the Iranian nation to be deprived of its right to peacefully use nuclear capabilities.
