ME News message. May 10 (UTC+8). ME News message. May 10 (UTC+8). U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) commissioner Hester Peirce said in a speech on May 8 that she does not approve of everything happening in the current market; some financial products that, like lotteries, spark hopes of getting rich in the short term may fade away as investors lose interest. Alex Thorn, Head of Research at Galaxy Digital, said that Peirce expects that the underlying legal, technological, and market infrastructure of these products may, in the future, be repurposed for more durable investment and risk management products. The ETF Store president Nate Geraci commented that the SEC’s balancing of regulation and innovation is reassuring. (Source: MLion)
