A person of good character will only discuss matters when conflicts arise; if they can't get along, they will part ways gracefully, keeping things amicable and not intentionally hurting the other person, not even saying unnecessary words.

People with ill intentions, on the other hand, will turn hostile once they don't get what they want, not only being unreasonable but also possibly retaliating, accusing you of various faults, portraying themselves as victims in front of others, and turning around to smear your reputation.
