Ready for Smart Contracts Tomorrow, the Pi Blockchain will officially support Smart Contracts. This transforms Pi from a simple payment network into a decentralized computing platform, comparable to Ethereum or Solana but with a much larger real user base.

To prepare for Protocol 23, Node operators are in the peak upgrade phase.
Over 200,000 Nodes worldwide have completed the upgrade to version **0.5.x**.
