Baidu Wenxin 5.1 officially released, Agent capabilities surpass DeepSeek-V4-Pro
AIMPACT news: On May 10 (UTC+8), multiple automakers denied rumors that they were “summoned for locking batteries.” BYD, XPeng, GAC Aion, AITO Wenjie, Tesla, Zeekr, and others have successively issued statements, explicitly denying that they were summoned or placed under investigation. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers also weighed in, saying that online rumors such as “8 automakers were summoned for locking batteries” are untrue. Yesterday, Baidu officially released the Wenxin 5.1 model, compressing the total parameter count to about one-third of Wenxin 5.0; on the Arena search leaderboard, it scored 1223 points to rank 4th globally and 1st domestically. Benchmark test data shows that in Agent evaluations, Wenxin 5.1 outperformed DeepSeek-V4-Pro, and in the AIME26 math competition evaluation it scored 99.6.
