Tom Lee predicts #Ethereum will reach 12K this year, while Bitmine is still incurring a $6.3 billion loss from its investment $ETH
Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies, continues to assert that Ethereum will hit $12k in 2026, calling this the “year of Ethereum” thanks to tokenization, AI, and new financial infrastructure.
however, Bitmine's enormous #ETH holdings are heavily in the red: total investment over $17.58 billion, current value only $11.25 billion, unrealized loss of $6.34 billion (36.04%). The company currently holds over 5.18 million $ETH (accounting for 4.3% of the supply), having staked most to generate staking revenue of hundreds of millions of dollars per year. Despite paper losses, #Bitmine maintains a long-term accumulation strategy and has not sold any tokens.
