U.S. District Judge Margaret Garnett in Manhattan has cleared legal obstacles for Aave to transfer $71 million worth of ETH related to North Korea-linked hacking incidents, allowing the frozen attack funds on Arbitrum to be moved to Aave LLC, but the related legal restraining order will be transferred with the assets. Previously, plaintiffs holding judgments against North Korea attempted to restrict these funds, claiming they could be used to enforce compensation judgments related to North Korea; Aave argued that the frozen assets in question belong to Aave protocol users and are not owned by the attackers or North Korea-related entities.
