Russia uncovers underground crypto mining farm
ME News Report, May 9 (UTC+8), Russian police and the Federal Security Service uncovered an underground crypto mining farm near Yegoryevsk, Moscow Oblast, and detained a 68-year-old local man. The police stated that the man deployed 30 mining machines on his private land in Pokhinki village, causing overloads in the nearby power grid, voltage fluctuations in residents’ homes, and damage to household appliances, resulting in property losses exceeding 4 million rubles. The equipment seized at the scene includes 2 routers, 1 laptop, 1 mobile phone, and 8 fans. The man has been placed under house arrest. (Source: MLion)
