Arbitrum DAO approves the release of 30,800 ETH for rsETH
Arbitrum DAO has approved an AIP proposal with 90.96% support, allowing the release of 30,765.67 ETH previously locked by the Security Council to compensate rsETH holders affected by the attack.
This proposal was initiated by Aave Labs, KelpDAO, LayerZero, EtherFi, and Compound. The ETH will be transferred to a recovery address verified by multiple parties, aiming to restore the collateral assets of rsETH.
This is a one-time measure. Aave Labs also commits to unconditional compensation for all parties involved for any claims arising from the locking and release of this amount.
There are currently no additional details about the timing of the transfer or the next steps after the proposal is approved.
