ME News Report, April 15 (UTC+8), Wednesday local time, Cleveland Federal Reserve President Loretta Mester said in an interview with CNBC that although she believes the Federal Reserve currently has no urgent need to change its interest rate target, there may be rate cuts or hikes in the future. Mester said, “I think interest rates are in a good place. My baseline expectation is that we will keep rates unchanged for quite some time, but I do believe there are risks on both sides.” She added, “Based on data performance, we may need to be more accommodative or more restrictive; both risks exist.” (Source: Jin10)
