Just now I wanted to transfer a small amount, and when I clicked, I saw the mainnet gas was again "looking in the mirror": neither expensive nor cheap, anyway it made me hesitate for two seconds. To be honest, I now have two compromises: for daily interactions and frequent small operations, I use L2 to save hassle and money; if I need to hold long-term or worry about potential issues with bridges, I go back to the mainnet once and handle everything at once, minimizing movements.
Recently, L2s have started comparing TPS, fees, and subsidies, and it's been quite lively, but I care more about whether the experience is smooth: whether switching chains in the wallet is seamless, whether deposits and withdrawals are fast, and if problems occur, whether someone can explain clearly. Subsidies look attractive, but if the experience is poor, I’m too lazy to chase after it… for now, that’s how it is.
