Coinbase was down for over 7 hours tonight because the AWS East Coast data center crashed.


During this outage, many people couldn't execute trades or set stop-loss orders during market volatility.
Most of the losses I've seen weren't due to misjudging the market direction—they were caused by being wiped out by these kinds of "unexpected" events.
So before going to sleep, I want to clarify one thing:
Never put all your money in one place.
Main accounts, small wallets, CEX cold wallets, lending platforms... spread them out.
It's not that you don't trust anyone; it's that exchanges are more fragile than we think.
Those who still believed last night that "big platforms are very stable" should wake up a bit today.
