U.S. Senator Lummis: Wyoming has been at the forefront of the digital asset industry
ME News message. On April 9 (UTC+8), Cynthia Lummis, Chair of the U.S. Senate Digital Asset Banking Subcommittee, posted that she hosted a roundtable at the Wyoming State Capitol, where she discussed the current regulatory landscape for digital assets in the state with Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould and Governor Mark Gordon, the importance of a dual-track banking system, and how banking regulation can support responsible financial innovation. Lummis said, “Wyoming has always been at the forefront of the digital asset space. The work we started in Wyoming nearly a decade ago has laid the foundation for our current work at the federal level. Wyoming has already established the most comprehensive digital asset regulatory framework in the country. Inviting Comptroller Gould to come here for an on-site inspection of our achievements is precisely to ensure that federal policies reflect actual, proven experience.” (Source: Foresight News)
