I spent some time testing different ways to mine free cryptocurrencies and found it interesting to share what I discovered. Most of the platforms I saw out there promise easy gains, but not all deliver what they promise.

I started with Awesome Miner, software that runs on Windows and Linux since 2014. It’s pretty straightforward – download, install, and start mining. Then I tried BetterHash, which has a cool feature: it automatically chooses the most profitable coin to mine at that moment, saving time.

Now, if you want something simpler, StormGain is an option everyone talks about. They say you can mine Bitcoin lightly, without overloading your PC. The cool part is that it even works on your phone. CryptoTab also caught my attention because it allows you to mine while browsing – like, you use the browser normally and you’re already mining.

There’s also Kryptex, which basically pays you for your computer’s capacity. According to what I read, you can earn a decent amount of money every month with a regular PC. PEGAPool is another one that promises to mine ETH just with a smartphone, very practical.

MinerGate is cool because it works on multiple systems and automatically selects which coin to mine based on your hardware. ECOS is a bit different – it offers cloud mining, but it’s not 100% free, there’s a trial period.

Besides these, I found out that you can earn free crypto by doing simple tasks on sites like EarnCrypto – watching ads, answering surveys, stuff like that. It doesn’t make you rich, but it’s extra income.

An important warning: not every platform is trustworthy. Always check the reputation, company history, and what security measures they use before sharing your data. There are many scams out there promoting free Bitcoin just to steal personal information. So, when choosing an online tool to mine cryptocurrencies for free, do this basic research first.
