The story of Remilia Corporation is honestly wild. You've got Krishna Okhandiar—better known as Charlotte Fang in the NFT circles—who basically became a household name by building one of the most cult-like communities in crypto. What started with Milady Maker in 2021 turned into something way bigger than anyone expected. The dude went from launching a neo-chibi NFT collection with just 10,000 pieces on Ethereum to becoming one of the most controversial yet influential figures in the NFT space. By April 2022, Milady floor prices were sitting at 1.55 ETH, and it seemed like nothing could stop them. Then everything went sideways. In May 2022, old tweets resurfaced—racist, homophobic content tied to Fang's account. The community was shaken, floor prices tanked, and suddenly everyone was questioning whether this whole thing was legit. Fang claimed it was all performance art, apologized, and basically tried to move on. But here's where it gets interesting: despite the drama, the project survived. When Elon Musk tweeted about Milady in May 2023, the collection bounced back hard. By later that year, it became the third most expensive 10K PFP collection. Even Krishna Okhandiar's internal team drama—he literally sued three team members in September 2023—didn't kill the vibe. The cult-like loyalty of the community was too strong. Fast forward to this year, and Fang dropped the case and launched $CULT, a new meme coin that hit an $845M FDV at launch. The token distribution was wild: over 50% locked in a "Cult fund," 15% to the team with 18-month vesting, and 20-35% to the Remilia treasury. Milady and Remilio NFT holders got exclusive airdrops. At launch, things looked insane. But here's the reality check: as of now, CULT is trading near zero with a market cap around $3.51M. That's a massive collapse from the peak. So what's the lesson here? Krishna Okhandiar proved you can build something genuinely valuable even with controversy and chaos surrounding you. Whether that's a good thing or a cautionary tale depends on your perspective. The Remilia ecosystem remains one of the most interesting experiments in NFT culture—for better or worse.
