ME News Report, May 7 (UTC+8), Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Chief Jed Finn stated at the Miami Consensus 2026 Conference that he expects traditional finance (TradFi) to absorb DeFi rather than be disrupted by it. “In five years, there won’t be something called DeFi anymore; it will be directly called Finance.” He also expressed optimism about the development direction of public blockchains, stating that private chain models will face significant challenges. Additionally, Morgan Stanley will launch a new product within a few weeks. This product allows clients to transfer their crypto assets held on external platforms into Morgan Stanley and convert them into corresponding ETFs, and they can use these as collateral for loans without selling, thus avoiding tax obligations.
