Abstract generation in progress

AIMPACT News, May 7 (UTC+8): At the Miami Consensus 2026 conference, Stephanie Cohen, Chief Strategy Officer of Cloudflare, said that the Cloudflare network currently generates about 1 billion HTTP 402 responses per day (not 1 billion actual completed payments). This means that websites signal to AI bots that “payment is required for access,” underscoring the scale of Agent-native payment needs. In addition, Cloudflare, together with Visa and Experian, jointly released the “Agent Trust” framework, which—through a “user and Agent binding” mechanism—ties AI Agent behavior to verified real users and issues trust tokens in real time for merchants to verify the legitimacy of Agent transactions. She also noted that more than 50% of internet traffic is now non-human, and the ratio of AI scraping to return traffic has risen to tens of thousands to one; if a content payment model can be established, it will usher in a “golden age of content.” (Source: Foresight News)
