Senator Gillibrand: Without moral provisions, the crypto regulation bill will not pass

Deep Tide TechFlow News. On May 07, according to The Block, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand explicitly stated at the Consensus Miami conference on Wednesday that she will not cast any support votes if the crypto market structure bill does not include an ethical clause. She noted that members of Congress, the President, the Vice President, and senior executive officials are prohibited from profiting from related industries by leveraging insider identities, and she said plainly, “Without this clause, corruption will destroy this industry.”

Earlier, before the inauguration, Trump and his wife issued Meme coins in succession, and the DeFi and stablecoin projects led by his family—World Liberty Financial—also drew widespread controversy. According to estimates by Bloomberg, Trump has already benefited at least $1.4 billion from crypto-related businesses.
