Reform UK leader Farage says there's no need to report Tether billionaire's $6.7 million personal donation

ME News report. On May 7 (UTC+8), Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said that a $6.7 million (£5 million) personal gift he received from Tether shareholder Christopher Harborne is “not required to be declared,” and that he has “reviewed it from all legal perspectives.” Farage said the gift was used for his personal security and took place before he decided to run for Parliament as a Member of Parliament candidate. Harborne also donated £12 million to Reform UK, including £9 million—the largest single personal political donation in UK history. Previously, the UK government halted cryptocurrency political donations based on the Rycroft report, concerned they could be used to funnel offshore funds. All of Harborne’s related donations were not in cryptocurrency form. (Source: PANews)
