ME News report, April 9 (UTC+8). Israel’s Ministry of Energy said on Thursday that after the US and Iran reached a ceasefire agreement, it had instructed the international oil and gas exploration and production company Energean to begin restoring operations at the Karish natural gas platform off Israel’s Mediterranean coast. For safety reasons, the platform has been shut down since the US–Israel–Iran conflict began on February 28. Energean confirmed it has received a notice from the Ministry of Energy that will allow its Karish field station to safely restart and resume production and operations. The company said it is working to safely restart production and restore normal operations in accordance with its operating procedures. Energean’s London-listed shares rose 2.4% today.
