AIMPACT News, April 9 — Alibaba Cloud’s Bailing Platform officially launched the “Memory Bank” feature, granting AI Agents long-term memory capabilities across conversations. It is currently available for free for a limited time and supports API calls and third-party tool integration.

The system is based on four modules: “Extraction — Storage — Retrieval — Injection,” which can automatically extract key information after a conversation ends and store it. Through semantic retrieval, it dynamically accesses historical memories to enable more personalized interactions.

In terms of functionality design:

Provides transparent configuration and preset rules to lower development barriers, suitable for customer service, consumer electronics, and other scenarios.

Introduces a dynamic memory governance mechanism supporting automatic updates, conflict filtering, and forgetting strategies.

Optimizes retrieval algorithms, reducing average response time by 50%, with significant improvements in relevance and accuracy.

Additionally, this feature now supports integration with Agent tools like OpenClaw and offers enterprises a configurable, traceable long-term memory infrastructure, further advancing AI applications toward “personalized intelligent agents.” (Source: Alibaba Cloud)
