Did the United States hold high-level talks with China regarding the Iran war issue? Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds
ME News report. On April 9 (UTC+8), Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a regular press conference. A reporter from AFP asked: Yesterday, the White House said that over the past few days the United States has held high-level talks with China on the issue of the Iran war. Can the spokesperson confirm that the talks indeed took place, and what specific matters were discussed in the talks?
The second question is, regarding Lebanon, does China believe Lebanon should also be included in the scope of the ceasefire agreement that has been reached?
“Regarding your first question, since the outbreak of the fighting, China has maintained communication with all parties, actively working to promote peace and prevent war,” Mao Ning replied.
Regarding the second question, Mao Ning said: “On Lebanon, we have just introduced our position. We hope that all parties can take the agreed temporary ceasefire arrangement as an opportunity to resolve disputes through political and diplomatic means and put an end to the fighting. ” (Source: ODAILY)
