I just realized that many of you are still confused about the trading hours of major markets. Today, I want to share this knowledge because it’s really important if you want to trade effectively.
Basically, what time is the US session in Vietnam time? Currently, it’s summer, so the US session (New York) starts at 19:00 in the evening and ends at 04:00 the next morning Vietnam time. The European session (London) starts at 14:00 in the afternoon and ends at 23:00 at night.
But the most important thing is to know when the market is hottest. I’ve noticed that from around 19:00 to 23:00 in the evening is when the price volatility is the strongest because this is when the European and US sessions run concurrently. During this time, liquidity is high, economic news is continuously released, so if you want to trade, this is a great opportunity but also requires careful risk management.
Additionally, the European session at the beginning, around 14:00-15:00, often has volatility as markets start to become active. When the US opens at 19:00-20:00, US economic reports are usually released, directly affecting USD-related currency pairs.
Personally, I find that understanding these time frames helps you avoid trading when the market is too quiet or too chaotic. Depending on your trading style, just choose the appropriate time window.
