Recently, I saw a bunch of PFPs talking about creating a "membership system + brand," which sounds pretty good, but I've been doing miscellaneous work in DAO for a long time, and I feel that the long-term value isn't in how cool the profile pictures are, but in whether something really happens after you join the group: proposals get followed up on, resources are connected, commitments are delivered. To put it simply, no matter how full the rights are written, if no one maintains them in the end, it just becomes a one-time attention grab. Plus, with recent tightening and loosening of taxes and compliance in certain areas, everyone's expectations for deposits and withdrawals have shifted, making emotions more short-term. Profile pictures and membership cards are more likely to be seen as "just buying some excitement on a whim." I'm currently only holding a small position, and projects that can consistently finish the miscellaneous tasks make me feel more at ease than those that just know how to tell stories.
