AWS and OpenAI discuss Agentic AI together, announce 28% revenue growth in Q1

AIMPACT News, May 6 (UTC+8), AWS and OpenAI leaders recently discussed the current application scenarios of AI agents and the next organizational needs. AWS also announced several business updates: 20 AI applications built on Kiro won awards in the 10,000 AIdeas competition; Cloud Clubs was renamed to Student Builder Groups, covering more than 60 countries; as the exclusive technical partner for the second COSS survey by the Linux Foundation. On the business side, AWS’s first-quarter year-over-year growth was 28%, the fastest in 15 quarters; Kiro enterprise customer usage increased nearly 10 times quarter-over-quarter; Strands downloads exceeded 25 million; AgentCore deploys an agent every 10 seconds; Bedrock processing volume grew significantly.
