Ethereum Contributors Target 200M Gas Floor in Glamsterdam Upgrade
Ethereum core contributors aligned on a 200M post-Glamsterdam gas limit floor, up from the current 60M and implying about 3.3x more execution capacity. Tim Beiko said the target depends on three Glamsterdam workstreams, including Block-Level Access Lists in EIP-7928 and repricing in EIP-8037 to limit state growth. Beiko said upcoming AllCoreDevs calls will confirm the target and final repricing numbers before Glamsterdam ships in the coming months.
