Lately, voting on governance has been a bit stressful: I’ve been keeping track of each delegation, vote, and claim like recording mileage, and I realized that the small number of votes I hold is basically just to boost participation for the big players. A bunch of people delegate their votes to a few addresses that look trustworthy, and gradually it turns into a meeting of oligarchs. The small investors at most argue in the comment section about who the governance tokens are really governing… You know how it is.

What’s even more annoying is that as soon as the unlock calendar hits, the group starts to panic about selling pressure. Everyone is shouting “don’t dump,” but at the same time, they keep delegating their votes to those who can “stabilize” the situation. Anyway, my current strategy is simple: automate what I can, and don’t force it if I can’t. Before voting, I check the delegation concentration. If a project is too crazy, I’d rather not touch it, to avoid ending up like waiting for a paycheck at work.
