GPT-5.5 can autonomously complete full network attack simulations. ChatGPT and API are now live.
AIMPACT News, May 5 (UTC+8), the UK AI Safety Institute released a study showing that OpenAI GPT-5.5 has become the second AI model capable of autonomously completing full network attack simulations, with performance nearly on par with Anthropic Claude Mythos. Claude Mythos is currently only available to a select few users, while GPT-5.5 has been launched on ChatGPT and the API. The study points out that leading AI models are rapidly improving their capabilities in cybersecurity, and this discovery also raises concerns about AI technology being misused for cyberattacks.
