According to on-chain analyst Specter monitoring, Wasabi protocol attackers have deposited all stolen funds into Tornado Cash, involving approximately $5.9 million. Suspected North Korean hackers are also laundering stolen funds from KelpDAO / LayerZero through Tornado Cash, with the related funds previously cross-chained to the Bitcoin network. SpecterAnalyst states that common methods include funds first mixing through Wasabi Mixer, then withdrawing and crossing back to Ethereum, depositing into Tornado Cash, transferring to new wallets, and then dispersing to multiple addresses.
