Aave asks U.S. court to release 30,765 ETH amid North Korea claims

Aave asked a U.S. federal court to lift a restraining notice that froze 30,765 ETH, or about $71 million, after the April rsETH-related exploit. The plaintiffs hold $877 million in damages awards against North Korea and argue the recovered ETH can be seized because the attackers are believed to be linked to Lazarus Group. Aave said the assets belong to protocol users, disputed the DPRK attribution as conjecture, and warned the freeze could deepen DeFi market stress.
